Raleigh Ophthalmology Summer Newsletter

Dr. James Constans is leaving Raleigh Ophthalmology, effective July 26, 2024. Dr. Constans and his family are moving out-of- state to be closer to their extended family.  While we are sad that Dr. Constans is leaving Raleigh Ophthalmology, we wish him and his family the very best!  Dr. Chong and Dr. Dickens continue to accept new patients for evaluation of glaucoma.  Dr. Dickens also accepts new patients for cataract surgery consultation.

Raleigh Ophthalmology Welcomes New Physicians

Dr. Logan Smith, a fellowship trained glaucoma specialist, will be joining RO on September 3, 2024.  Dr. Smith grew up in Tennessee and graduated from University of Miami Miller Medical School. He served his internship at University of Miami at Holy Cross Hospital in Miami, Florida and completed his residency at University of Texas in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Smith completed his fellowship training in glaucoma at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.  He and his wife are excited to be moving closer to family in the Raleigh area.  We are now scheduling appointments with Dr. Smith for glaucoma and cataracts.

We are also excited to announce the addition of Dr. Brent Hoffman, a fellowship trained cornea specialist.    Dr. Hoffman is from North Carolina and went to UNC Chapel Hill for his undergrad and then East Carolina University for Medical School.  He did his residency in Alabama and most recently completed his cornea fellowship training in Portland, Oregon.  Dr. Hoffman will be starting at Raleigh Ophthalmology on September 30.  We are now scheduling appointments with Dr. Hoffman for cataracts
and corneal issues.

New Clayton Office Coming Soon

Our new Clayton office is under construction and progress is moving quickly. We expect to be moved in by the end of the year to better serve the growing Johnson County area. Our Clayton office provides treatment options for cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, disorders of the cornea. We also provide pediatric eye care and a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive services.

19th Annual Triangle VisonWalk

Blindness. We had a great turnout and we were awarded a certificate for the largest fundraising team!
